Product: Tribasic Lead Sulfate
Molecular formula: 3PbO· PbSO4 ·H2 O
Property: it is white, sweet and toxic powder with specific gravity of 7.10. It can dissolve in nitric acid, hot thick hydrochloric acid, ammonium acetate and sodium acetate, partly in acetic acid, but not in water. It will become yellow when loses the crystal water at 135℃.it become yellow under sunlight, especially in wet condition.
Application
The product is the most widely used thermal stabilizer for PVC plastics with strong ability of cohesion with hydrogen chloride, good long-term thermal stability, excellent electrical insulation. It has the ability of white pigment with strong covering power , tolerate weather-resistant property and mainly used in non-transparent soft and hard products and cable material. Coordination effects can be obtained when used with a little amount of lead dibasic phosphite or lead dibasic stearate.
